ATTN: Tampa Area Scouters: Need to connect with your Relations

This message is being sent out to any Scouts-L members in the Tampa/Gulf
Ridge Council, Les Baron Scout Executive.

NEWSFLASH!!!!!

If there are any members of the Catholic Scouting Committee of the Gulf Ridge
Council out of Tampa, we are fixing to send one of the finest, most pro
scouting Priests your way! Father Mike Konsic Ccs, a Redemptorist Priest of
the Sacred Heart Parish in Griffin GA has just accepted a promotion to
Wachung Florida in Hardee County. Father Mike, while serving as Father
Superior of a large Parish here still managed to find time to go through
O.A., Receive the Bronze Pelican Award. He has brought active Scouting Units
to every Catholic Church in our council, and has served faithfully at every
meeting of our Flint River Council Relations Committee. Week after week, he
came out to Camp Thunder to do a field mass (heck he even blessed the new
bridge that our nature director built on the Nature Trail). He promotes the
Alt Altare Dei every where he goes and all of our scouts love him. His
presence will be sorley missed.

I hope to be able to make contact with a member of the Relations Committee in
the Gulf Ridge Council, in the hopes that Father Mike can continue his
efforts to promote Catholic Scouting.
