Mike,
The National Capital Area Council has had meetings such as a roundtable
for explorers for 20 years. Over the years they have changed back and
forth from monthly to quarterly. At the present time we have Quarterly
Advisor meetings. These meetings include all adults and 'scouts" that
wish to attend. They handle mostly program planning and such things.
We also have had monthly Wardroom meetings for sea scouts for the last
30-40 years. When the council changes back and forth, we just keep
going as always. Council changes the way they administer exploring and
we pay no mind to them. We get cooperation from them but they leave us
alone to some extent. They feel that we have a good program and it does
not cost them anything in time, money, or effort.
