Donating boat

I am interested in donating my boat this fall. It is a 28' sloop made by
Edel Canada in 1981. It has been repowered with a 20 HP Vetus (Mitsubishi)
diesel, which has seen very little use. (Just guessing, less than 100 hrs.)

We have used the boat for sailing vacations in years past, and it is very
comfortable. With my wife working in real estate, we have found it
impossible to get two weekend days off in a row, and have tried to sell it.
But no one has heard of Edel, and we have had no offers. The book value
of the boat is about $20,000.

The boat is in good shape, and with recommissioning the engine and
painting the bottom, should be ready to launch. Wax the fiberglass if you
like, and do the teak. These are normal maintenance operations. The boat
needs no other significant maintenance that I know of.

In my last message, I asked for a small payment for this boat. I have now
decided to drop that requirement.

Please contact me if you are interested.
