It sounds to me, IMHO, that you don't feel like you can affect the
organization (BSA), positively or negatively, with which you are involved.
Therefore, you are left with a "take it or leave it" philosophy. I don't
find that to be a particularly positive or optimistic point of view. Since
I still believe that Scouting happens at the local level, I feel that my
words and actions can affect the dialogue and the debate, and, therefore,
are a legitimate form of expression. If you perceive faults, but make not
effort to improve them, are you not abrogating ownership and responsibility?
"Just shut up and keep driving or get out of the car" is not particularly
creative or helpful advice, is it?
