Is there or is there not a requirement from National that all volunteers
must take Youth Protection Training? If so, where might I find it?
Although I have never seen it in writing, somehow I am under the impression
that the training is required and also that it must be renewed every two
years.
We are about to embark on a big push to try to get as many people trained as
possible and if I have a definite rule and the resource of where it might be
found, my pushing and prodding might have more credence. All references
that I can find in the current Scoutmaster Handbook and Troop Committee
guide simply state that the training is encouraged for all registered
leaders and parents.
