I live in Rhode Island but work in Connecticut. In my companies UW drive is a
different UW than my council but for the last four to five years I designate
Narragansett Council for my UW gift and every year I get a nice letter of
thanks from our SE.
If the Southeaster CT UW ever will not allow me to give to my local council
based on their policies then I will stop giving through the UW and write on
my card that I decline to give to UW because of their policy against the BSA.
and give directly to my local council.
The UW in RI has voted not to give to the local council after Jan 01 but I
believe will still give to LFL program. Quite a few in New England are
following this path.
