In our boy-run Troop, at the entirely boy-run Courts of Honor, the boys
present all the awards (I sit in the audience). It is usually the SPL who
presents Adult awards, but, sometimes the son of the adult receiving the
award will do the presenting which is always quiet touching.
On some occasions, when I am called forward to give my SM's "minute" I will
take a few minutes first to recognize and thank personally the adults who
have received awards.
At no time does any adult award over-shadow a single boy's accomplishment;
Any boy achievment is treated as a higher honor than all adult awards in
Scouting put together.
