Does anyone remember the article in National Geographic about salt water
alligators in Australia? There is one picture in there taken with a camera
suspended from a bridge and its looking into the jaws of certain death on
the 'local' alligator.

IIRC, the alligator had been 'trained' to launch itself straight up from
below the bridge to clamp its jaws around a chunk of raw meat hanging there
on a string, or whatever; the camera guy substituted a remote release
camera to get the shot. I don't remember the stats on the beast but they
really were very impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if there were traces
of pepper spray and crumpled bells in -his- leavings ;-) Just the picture
would be enough to make anyone think twice about messing with one of them.
