Sincetime for advancement is counted from a scouts BOR, BOR's should be held
often. The tradition in our Troop is when a scout needs a BOR, he signs up
on the troop white board prior to the start of a meeting, the advancement
chairman then arranges one to be held that night after the meeting is over.
We normally have enough committe members around at the end of a meeting
willing to stay for a extra 15 to 30 min holding BOR's. This way, a scout
advances quickly. We also have the same rule for SM conferences, if a Scout
signs up he gets one that night, however a scout cant have and SMC and a BOH
on the same night unless by permission of the advancement chairman usually
due to a COH comming up the next week.
