I had a 12 x 12 foot blue dining tarp that the middle pole grommet broke

and luckily I was able to put something of a bigger diameter for the rest

of the week-end. Now I wish to permanently make a repair before the hole

gets bigger. Does anyone have any good ideas???

Gee, Henry, I know that our neighbors to the north are renowned for their
thriftiness <G>, but a new12x12 tarp can be had for about 6 bucks. Why not
cut your torn one up for patches for other purposes, gear bags, flag covers,
ground cloths, etc., and spring for a new one? (In a pinch, use a sneaker for
a pole-guard, if you don't have a tennis ball.)
