Someone suggested:

By the above logic we would have the 'privilege and
honor' of seeing images of Scouts or Scouters in
political ads for candidates on both sides of the
following hot button issues:

Capital Punishment for more categories of crime
Abolition of Capital Punishment for any crime

Fewer restrictions on abortion
Abolition of abortion for any reason

Stronger gun control laws
Fewer gun control laws

Legalization of Marijuana and/or other drugs
Stiffer penalties for all drug use

Same sex marriages legalized
Stronger laws against homosexual conduct

Oh, yea verily, what an improvement that would be for
the image of Scouting, cough cough.

I think I much prefer to not have any political
candidate's image consultants use the reputation of
the BSA amonst the arsenal of subtle tools of
persuasion for why candidate X is the best candidate
for the office of president, legislator, mayor, police
chief, dog catcher, etc.

Just my own view.
