I've been reading all of the posts going back and forth today and
participating in some of the discussions off the lists, and so forth. There
is one thing, though, that doesn't surprise me, but does sadden/concern me a
little.

That is, has anyone noticed that before oral arguments were heard before the
Supreme Court, the case received a great deal of attention...and little of
it positive for scouting. Now that the decision has been handed down, there
are relatively few stories, by comparison, regarding scouting and the
decision, and so forth.

Those in the legal profession and others won't be surprised. Note: the
cases making the headlines today are an abortion law from Nebraska and a
case concerning public/parochial schools. These didn't make near the
headlines before arguments...

Not surprised...just a thought. And not intended to create a list furor. I
wasn't worried about the decision in the first place. Some of you will
recall that all along I thought that BSA had several "out" options that
would not really, in effect, change the policy. In many ways, though, I
hope this ends some discussions about the policy, since not only has BSA
made a policy, but our highest court has also upheld that policy.
