I want my son to speak French, does that mean scouting should teach him?
Better yet, I want my son to use proper birth control methods if he and a
loved one choose to have sex. That's an essential part of being the kind of
man I want him to be, by your logic Scouting should teach him!
Scouting teaches the philosophical and moral underpinnings, not the how to
of everything. The How to is outdoor skills, it's Scouting's method.
