How many out there count the full time a scout serves (actual, not with rest,
etc) for doing service projects?
Does your scoutmaster work a full time job? Does he get a paid coffee break, smoking break, or lunch break? If so, what is the difference? The full amount of time the boy is there should count, including rest, lunch, and bathroom breaks. the only way less time should be counted is if a scout slacks off and only really participates 2 out of 6 hours.
The last service project was promised more hours for this particular project,
and so there was a good turnout (but not too many), and then he only gave
them 2 hours. I do not think it is right. Any comments?
Regardless of whether this is the SM's policy or not, the boys should be given what they were promised. If the Sm intended to only give 2 hours credit no matter how long the boys worked, then he should have announced that fact at the time the project was announced. Failure to do so is a double wrong, and certainly is not scoutlike!!!!!
