Well Mick, we do agree on that point and if you had read and understood my
full posting(s), instead of pulling out the bit you wanted to be able paint
with such a broad brush anyone who questions the role of women in Scouting,
perhaps we could have discussed amicably where we don't agree. Should I ask
whether anyone who lacks the ability to read and understand a post on a
subject that is far from one dimensional should question, to use your words,
"whether they have what it takes to be a proper role model"?
I will repeat in the simplest fashion possible what my point is:
1) Boys grow into men
2) Boys need positive male influence to grow into good emotionally healthy
men.
3) Scouting is a vehicle where this very important need can be satisfied.
4) Women are not men.(men are not women)
Is that clear?
I will now state for the record what I did not say:
1) Men are better than women
2) Women don't have any role in Scouting
3) I don't value daughters
4)Women are inferior in any way WHATSOEVER!
The world is not black and white but infinite shades of gray; keep your big
broad politically correct paintbrushes far away from me. Thank you.
