Rainee.....transfer to my VA hospital in Amarillo Tx, work my urology
patients (PLEASE>>>>I need good nurses), and join my troop!!!! We beg
the women to camp with us, because they do SO much for our boys and our
program......we need a woman to camp so the others will come with us. I
also need more women in the Crew, so our female Venturers can have more
ladies to help the trips and outings happen. I know of a troop here that
wouldnt have existed if the Female SM and SMA had not taken the jobs when
there were no men...and guess what gentlemen..that was a great troop with
NO male leaders...the boys learned just as much about scouting and being
a man as in any other troop in our Council.

My daughter couldnt wait to become an explorer, and then a Venturer...I
just hope that the anti-female leaders don't get her as an interpreter
(ie guide) at Norther Tier Canoe base this summer, she will put your
abilities to shame.....and won't take any abuse because of her gender.
She wont be rude, but by setting the proper example, she will show you
that Scouting is NOT gender specific.

I would guess that the anti-female contiongent in Scouting...hopefull a
small group...have no daughters. I cant fathom why men think that
daughters are less important than sons......and thats the only
explination I can think of for their attitude. Daughters become wives,
and mothers...and I pray that they become Scout (BSA) leaders as well.

Yours in Scouting...for ALL
