Through all this legal storm, it sounds like we all need to take a second
and
remember that a Scout is brave. And while I am at it, to add in the other
thread, when your boy is afraid to have a peer find out he is a Scout is
another time to remember that a Scout is brave.

By letting outsiders define who we are we suffer. Our principles and our
dedication to our Scouting program are surely much stronger than any
attempted disruption on the part of misinformed or vindictive nonmembers.
If
WE know Scouting is all about character and Scouting skill and continue to
conduct ourselves accordingly, it doesn't really matter what others think.
And because we are brave enough to be who we are, then I figure we can
weather the storm.

Kathy Coates (who is getting off of her soapbox for now)
