Well, while I applaud the approach as being the "right" one, I feel
obliged, in the interests of fairness and accuracy (g), to point out that
it doesn't work well. Ask any DAR or UDC or Mason or Black Panther. Once
a negative public PERCEPTION of a group is fixed, the group is affected
and only those who fit the perception will join.
And pretty soon, perception becomes reality and those who do not and did
not fit the perception/stereotype find themselves on very shaky ground
trying to convince others that the perception isn't fact.
