The local TV news last night carried a story about a near drowning of
a child.
The mother had found the child in a pool (looked like at a hotel) and
called for someone to help her get the child out. A 16 yr. old boy
who was passing by heard the mother and came to help get the child
out of the pool. He also performed CPR and by the time paramedics
arrived, the child was breathing, conscious, and crying.
When interviewed by the TV reporter, he said he was just doing what
he learned in the Boy Scouts.
Thought you folks might appreciate this. BTW, not a word in the
paper this morning.
