Years ago ('50s) we used to make 'smothered hamburgers'. You fry a
hamburger in the frying pan. Just before it is done, pour off any fat, then
add a can of Campbell's vegetable soup (undiluted). Heat to serving temp.
Serve with a slice of bread. Used to be one of our favorites.
