This could be twisted for leaders: No, no and no. BOY SCOUTS is for KIDS.

I think we need to add: When you have kids of your own in Cub Scouts, you
can play with the Cub Scout things again<G>.
Seriously though, if this is the stance we take, shouldn't we applaud the 16
year old who says he is to old to be a Scout. I see treads here all the time
about losing older Scouts. Maybe these young adults have decided to put away
their Scout things and get on with their adult lives.

A Life Scout in my troop said he would like to have the chance to race in a
PWD again. I quickly went to the van and returned with a PWD kit. I told the
young man he is more than welcome to race in the adult race with my Pack..
Did I do wrong with this boy? I Don't think so.
I feel that most boys need these little regressions to help deal with the
pressures of growing up. I think this even goes into adulthood with
men(can't speak for women). This might explain why so many dads push the kid
out of the way and build the PWD car themselves.
No flame intended Auntie. We are talking about 10 1/2 to 11 year olds here.
High school is around the corner. Instead of making young adults out of
these
kids, lets teach them to enjoy childhood for a couple more years.

I am not a psychiatrist and I do not play one on TV(although I would
consider it, if the money was right). I do own a couch, but the dog and
myself are the only ones allowed to lay on it(ok, when my wife says we can).
