I agree that we must not prostheslize, but I have never had any objection to
the inclusion of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, or any of the other manisfestations
of God in a prayer before a meal. On my treks to Philmont, my crews have
quite often chosen Muslim and Jewish prayers out of the Eagles Soaring book
before meals. One scout told me he was "covering his bases"
I think we wory too much about the possibility of offending others. I am not
a Christian, but have always felt that as long as the one leading the prayer
isn't trying to offend me I should take no offense as none was given.
