I have a boy in my webelos den who would like to earn the God and Family
award, but has a problem. His family moved to this area a couple of years
ago and still has not officially joined a church in our town. The mother
does not feel that, even though they are a religious family, they should not
join a church, just to work on the award. I am of course assuming that they
are still technically members of a church in their old home town. Is there
another solution ( other than getting in periodic contact with their former
minister ) that I'm not seeing?

PS - Weeks ago I unsuccessfully tried to send this message to the list under
the heading "God and Family Award", but my post was sent for "moderation",
never to be see again. I've e-mail Jon to find out my problem, but he has
yet to respond to any of my messages. I guess I'm on "double secret
probation".
