I have been enjoying the recent postings about the NASCAR car and the
BSA National Distribution Center. I live in Charlotte, home to the
Distribution Center and a hotbed of NASCAR activity.
I gave blood yesterday and happened to meet a woman that works at the
Distribution Center who was also donating. She had an interesting
perspective on a lot of the issues that have been discussed here. She
also told me that we can pick up orders directly at the center without
having to pay shipping charges. Granted, it's not too practical for most of
us, but it was a nice customer service touch on her part. We
had a good laugh about "whether we want the kind of kids who would be
interested in NASCAR to be Boy Scouts."
Now I'm kind of worried. I'm not saying that the folks at the
National Distribution Center would DELIBERATELY delay shipments to the
anti-NASCAR crowd but... :-)
