I somehow missed most of the posts before today on
the'chief counsel' memo seeking a show of support,
fundraising, whatever that has apparently been
discussed. Not sure how except perhaps I have been
too fast on the delete key lately when there has
been more mail than I could keep up with.
Anyway, a post today by Mike Walton referenced the
American Center for Law and Justice in conjunction
with a memo, and that name struck a chord with me.
This group ACLJ was founded about 10-12 years ago by
M.G. 'Pat' Robertson, of 700 Club fame. The chief
counsel is a chap by the name of Jay Alan Sekulow,
whom apparently appears often on the 700 Club with
Robertson. I don't catch the show, so I'm only
relaying what I've been told today.
To read more about the ACLJ, you can go to a web
site: http://www.aclj.org/AboutA.html
To read more on Sekulow, same site, but specific
page is: http://www.aclj.org/AboutJ.html
I am not advocating anything in the memo nor am I
advocating any position taken by the ACLJ. As I
noted, I have not seen the memo. I am merely
passing on information to others who may want to know
more about who is trying to raise funds, purportedly
for the benefit of upholding BSA's policies on
membership.
