Hi WA-BobT,

I believe without checking that a recent Scouts-L posted an announcement
for a 10 commandments hike, walk or something like that. My guess is
that this is a theme walk, hike and does include some relationships
to the Scout Law. Believe it was in Ohio.

If this doesn't post to the list please feel free to forward it so that the
persons
who originally posted the idea might get jogged a little to reply to you.

You or anyone should be able to map the the 10 commandments
or the Great Commandment to the Scout Oath, Scout Law, SS, SM.
It is not a complete mapping and sometimes loses a bit in the mapping
yet could be quite fun to do as a group. Hey I even got #2 and thrifty
linked.

One comment without a lot of detail is try to be careful if you are going
to apply this fun and educational association activity in a strictly boy
scout setting. If there are scouts of other faiths or others on a journey
you can easily tend to make things difficult that you didn't intend and
are
against the adult BSA leadership rules of mixing religious training into
scouting. If on the other hand you do this from the religious side looking
into boy scouting or you are doing this from the religious badge side of
things than everything is OK.

YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM

Mr Dave (Hawleyton, NY (Baden-Powell Council
P.S. How is that Venturing Crew you are getting going.
