Hi All

I have a a shy and humble Eagle Scout who just received his Eagle awards. The
Scout does not want a special COH and would rather wait to be honored with the
rest of the Troop at our May COH. The family also feels a little uncomfortable
taking up a meeting just in their son's honor. The family has been assured that
this is an honor for the whole Troop and not to think twice about it. I
explained his COH is not replacing the Troop program but rather enhancing it. I
would like the Troop to honor him as soon as possible rather than wait four
months. The family is considering February. The wisdom I seek from you is if
they decide to wait, would it be in bad taste to at least honor him with the
Eagle patch now?
