100% Boys Life = Quality?

We are a 100% Boys Life unit, and have been since my oldest son
and I joined. I remember reading Boys Life as a Scout myself
with definite fondness.
Unfortunately, I don't see the same magazine these days. It seems
to have gotten caught up in today's sound-bite technology, and it
appears to be trying to emulate other kids' magazines in hero worship
of athletes who may or may not have been Scouts.
I would have no problem with requiring 100% Boys Life for Quality
Unit if we could get a better quality Boys Life.
