ONLY Council Troops are permitted. IF you had a troop of 36 boys, all
the proper age and rank, and all willing to attend, you could ask your
council to add a troop to their contingent, possibly.

There are THOUSANDS of jobs available on the national staff. Cost is
$495.00 plus transportation, and you must commit to attend the entire
Jambo, including a few days before and after for setup and knockdown.
Ask your council for a Staff Application. There are also Youth Staff
jobs. Youth STAFF pay $250 plus transp.

That is set locally, and includes the $495 national Jambo fee, plus
transportation, a tour before and after, the pre-Jambo weekend, some
personal equipment in most cases, and the Troop equipment - tents,
flies, cook gear, tables, etc. A Council from the West Coast may charge
$2000.00 or more. One from Fredericksburg VA may charge $600.00 with NO
travel expenses, tours, etc. The $875 sounds pretty reasonable for a
troop in your area. The deposit also sounds about right, as the
council must send that in to ensure they actually GET to send 4 troops.
