"The third is "Remember our discussion on fatigue/camo uniforms and why the
BSA doesn't allow them for wear??" Gives you a good reason why the BSA
doesn't allow them. The ISSUANCE OF "SOMETHING SPECIAL" to denote
"membership in an elite group IS OUTSIDE the BSA's stated intentions, and
besides a violation of the Youth Protection program's guidelines, alienates
boys from each other."

I didn't see the 20/20 program. The only discussion about "fatigue uniforms"
that I remember was the discussion of BDU pants. Was there another thread
about "camo uniforms" that I missed?

I hope so, because I'm afraid to say this because it just couldn't be true:
nobody is suggesting that wearing BDU pants somehow leads to child molesting,
are they?

Scout pants, not BDU pants, are a violation of YPP since they are a form of
hazing meant to alienate scouts from other boys. If anything concerning the
uniforms leads to child abuse, it is wearing BSA pants because some man with
bad taste in clothing and who-knows-what-else tells you to do what you are
told without question, even though you KNOW it is wrong.
