My 2 cents worth is that the media's intent was not really an intent to
slam the BSA but rather a continuation of presenting the most lurid news
stories that they can find in order to attract viewers and advertising
dollars. The puppets in front of the camera such as Barbara Walters and the
producers behind the scenes have no interest in the innoccent that are
damaged from these type stories. In earlier times, the media would have
published this story but would have included background information about
those affected and presented a fair and accurate picture of the event or
occurrence.
