I have found that Webelos IIs who cross over into a troop in April or May often
do not feel "at home" enough to go to summer camp, while those who cross over in
February or March usually do. The early crossers go to camp and bond with the
other boys and adults. They tend to stay in Boy Scouting longer.I have also
found that many Webelos IIs get bored with the Webelos program by February, and
areally want to go to a Troop. In my district, the Webelos program is usually
presented as less than two years long. Just my thoughts.
