Re: Blue and Gold Continued

As far as I am concerned the Blue and Gold dinner is supposed to be a
celebration of the birthday of Cub Scouting. February is the "birth
month" and that is why it is usually held then.

Graduating Tiger Cubs really should not take place until May. And
Webelos crossover to Scouts could easily take place in March. I have
found that B&G dinners get to be extremely long and not much fun
because we try to jam too much into that one evening.

> My pack uses the Blue and Gold dinner to graduate 2nd year Webelos
and the Tiger Cubs.. the problem with doing this is that since Blue
and Gold is held in February, it makes for some very unsettled times
as Scouts rush to complete requirements before February and then have
a lull in activities for March thru May... <
