The new Millennium catalogue is out and prices have remained the same for
this year. The pants are also available as shorts for $27 youth and $35
adult. All prices in Canadian dollars.

The new catalogue lists all Canadian sources for its goods. I cannot comment
on the *actual source* of the uniform items but I believe Scouts Canada
policy is to "Buy Canadian" wherever possible. Some goods may be
manufactured "off-shore," imported and then distributed by the listed
supplier.

The photos mentioned basically advertise "activity wear" and our Scout Shops
have a lot to offer. Incidentally, the 'models' in the photos, whether they
are wearing "official uniform" or not, are actual members of Scouts Canada.

The Ottawa, Ontario location for the Scout Shop (National Flagship Store)
has a listed phone number of (613) 224 0139. The fax number above is
correct.

!999/2000 catalogue lists a $6.00 flat fee for S&H. Further down the order
form it directs "Outside Canada please add 10% of line C." Line 'C' is a
subtotal of items ordered *plus* the S&H fee. Remittance must accompany all
orders, money orders and certified cheques payable to Scouts Canada in
Canadian funds.
Taxes and duties? You would do well to call or fax one of the 56 Scout Shops
listed in the catalogue.

Be patient as some mandarin has to determine where to direct your message
;-)
I have a jpg file (637 kb) of the order form. I'll send it out as an
attachment to anyone that wants it. Please note that I'm currently on
vacation so it might be a couple of days coming out ;-)
