Here are some of the Acronyms that I've seen in use either on Scouts-L or in
related private postings. (Notes: 1. A couple of words have been changed in
a few in the interest of avoiding more vulgar common uses. 2. Some of the
acronyms here are not the official BSA two-letter designations and are

Terms

Lurker Someone who reads a group, but doesn't post

Flame A vitriolic attack in response to a post, generally on a
personal level.

Spam An article (almost always an ad or personal) posted to a
large number of groups which is clearly irrelevant to the
group.
