Phil,
That hi-tech staff will never have the meaning that my staff has. It was
the
top of a tree we had to cut down when making a new trail at a Scout camp
where I was going through my "ordeal" for the Order of the Arrow.
And, at nearly 6 feet in length, it won't travel as carry-on baggage on an
airplane; I found that out when I took it to Philmont Scout Ranch last year.
But it's big enough that it won't get lost, either.
