Help,
My 13 year-old 1st class scout, is was moved into the postion of SPL,
and would like some advice.

What is the suggest way to close the troop meeting? He knows circle up,
scoutmaster minute, and pledge or oath, dismissed. But when where and
how should he put in announcments invites that may come in for the
troop to particpate in. As he is new in this postion, he would like the
wisdom of others as he is trying to do a good job.

This has came up because of a mom in our troop is also a cubmaster.
Last week she wrote a note inviting the Troop to a pack activity to help
towards recruiting for this Saturday about 10 days notice. He dosen't
want to cause problems or appear rude so would like outside advice.

Thanks in advance,

Sharon Brooks, the SPL's mom
