Looking for a place to stay on route from MD to Maine

A group of 10 scouts and leaders is traveling from Maryland to the Maine
High Adventure Camp, and needs a place to spend the night on Sunday,
August 8 and again on Wednesday, August 18. A place in Connecticut
would be nice because it would be about 1/2 of the distance, but we are
flexible. We have tried the military bases and they do not accept
troops anymore. Does anyone know of places to stay on route to Maine?
We would be happy with a church parish hall floor, for example, so that
we would not need to bring tents. Thanks for your help.
