Arrow of Light

Arrow of Light is not required. Many boys become Scouts without ever being
Cubs.

However, many Troops do not accept new Scouts until the spring of the year
they complete 5th grade as a courtesy to their feeder packs. Usually after
that Pack has their crossover ceremony. It prevents the 2nd year Webelos
Dens from emptying out halfway through the year.

>the bsa hand book says that a boy can be a scout if he completed 5th grade
or
>is 11 years old. some have told me he still must have received his arrow of
>light. since the book does not say that i assume it is not required. input
>please.
