Good grief! This is like saying, yes, we hired you for this position
6 months ago, but we never got around to putting you into the payroll
computer, so no, you won't receive any paychecks for the last 6 months'
work.
Does the Scoutmaster think it is fair that Geoff has been stiffed by
an adult who failed to record his appointment in the computer? Where
in the Scoutmaster's Handbook does it say that a position isn't official
until it's recorded in the troop database?
In my view, he was appointed to the position, he did the job (!), and
he deserves the credit.
As for the insignia being out of stock, it does happen, and that's why
I tend to keep a supply on hand.
