I have only done a cursory scan of the new Program Features, but they
seem to be very similar to the same in Woods Wisdom (as updated by the
regular inserts in Scouting Magazine). I probably would not have bought
them yet if I were not going to use them at Round Tables. But the new
Troop Resources book should be had by every BSA Scoutmaster. It has
games, SM minutes, ceremonies, forms (!!!), and a CD-rom version of the
entire book. The only thing that the BSA folks did wrong is to include
the clipart imbedded in a PDF page -- they would have done better to
make it available in one or more formats that could be imported into
word processors.
I realize that is the opposite of your question, but you should know
that most of the material in Woods Wisdom has been updated or replicated
in the new Program Features (why are there three?). Nevertheless, there
are probably some games, Scoutmaster minutes, and ceremonies that have
not been carried over into the Troop Resources book (and there are new
of each in the new book).
Whether the cost of the old WW is worth the (relatively) few things not
in the new volumes is up to you. For me, I regularly buy up old Scouting
books and manuals to look for the rare gems therein.
