Hello there...

i thought it was about time I let you know what wwas gong on with Scouting
Ahead.

After so many promises made and things left undone, I think I owe you guys
an explanation.

The National Outdoor Leadership School has taken on Scouting Ahead and will
update the program to fit the new LNT principles and be easier to implement.
They've changed the name to Project LNT. Until all the details are worked
out, I've stopped, ceased and desisted in implementing the program to avoid
confusion. I'll keep you posted as to how the program develops, and will
make all the materials and information available as soon as they are
completed.

In the meantime, I encourage you to advocate the LNT Trainer's Award in your
council, attend any LNT Trainer course you can -- ( the one we are holding
August 6-8 in Yosemite is FULL!) and let me know if there is anything I can
do to help you in providing LNT training in your council.

Thanks and stay tuned,

Barb
