One of the inherent "PROBLEMS" with wood badge, is also one
of it's major strengths!!! (my 2 cents worth)
That being "guided discovery". While much of what SHOULD be
learned while at wood badge - is hoped to be via the self
learning - thru "guided discovery" - some just NEVER get it!
We all have different learning styles. Some of us do not take easily to
" experiential learning " or " guided discovery " and need to have some sort
of a
conceptual framework against which to set our learning experience. The same
applies to youth member training. A good trainer should have a repertoire of
techniques and methods of instruction to meet the learning styles and needs
of ALL course participants.
