Curing Cast Iron
Jim Fuller (RMCJimbo@AOL.COM)

To my fellow Scouters,
I have just finished cleaning up some abused and ignored
cast iron cookware (fry pans and dutch oven) that required
SOS to get the rust and junk removed.
I am ready to cure the newly cleaned cast iron, but I wanted
to get recommendations on what kind of oil to use. This will
be used only about once every three months, so I want an oil
that won't go rancid in between uses. Ideas?
