Dear Leslie -

Your Council needs a Jamboree committee in a hurry, so that it can recruit
adult leaders, establish a budget and fee target and plan the basic
outlines of a tour. Right now Councils are being asked by their Regions and
National to confirm/commit to the number of Jamboree troops they'll support.

That said, this Fall is not too early to start recruiting boys. Giving them
almost two years head start will allow them to work out a savings/work plan
to get enough money together to attend.

Your husband can get a bunch of tips on organizing for the Jamboree by
joining the Jambo01 email list. We have over 400 Scouters on the list right
now - most of whom have been involved in past Jamborees - either as Council
contingent leaders or staff or back home Committee members.

To join the list just send a blank message to Jambo01-on@dynapolis.com.
You'll get a confirmation request in reply, which you just turn around and
send back.
