You pretty much hit the nail on the hed when you mentioned the
inspirational aspects of the complete program. Yeah, the "hard facts"
could possibly be covered in a 4-hour session. But heck, why not just
have them pick up the Scoutmaster's Handbook & read it?
Missing out on the camping & the patrol experience is a shame. What
scares me the most, though, is the possibilit that the lecture, not the
patrol, method will be used by these leaders as they work in their
troops.
I hope that you get a pile of negative comments on this training, so
that you can pile 'em up on the DE's desk.
