Re: BSA Organization/National

Not just no email contact, but I couldn't even find a snail mail address nor
the name, phone number, address, ... of any human contact for any
department. This gives me an impression of a supreme bureaucracy where
input from the lowly members is discouraged. I know we're supposed to go
through the chain of command (with all the filters that imposes), and I can
get the addresses I want if I dig for them, but the official BSA web site
doesn't make me feel comfortable that communication is a two-way street with
them.

Heck, I can even email the President of the United States if I want. Yeah,
I know he's got a team to sort through that, but at least it's a sign of
openness. And when I sent an email inviting the President to an Eagle COH,
I received the standard form congratulations shortly thereafter, so I know
the emails do get read.

Oh well, I guess this is just another example of what happens when a good
idea "grows up".

On a related thought, does anyone have an idea of how many people are
employed by the BSA and how many volunteers we have above the troop level in
a "managerial" role, such as ADC's, DC's, committee members, etc.?
