Introduction

Dahlin, David (DDahlin@DAKCL.COM)

Greetings, My name is Dave Dahlin and I am new to Scouts-L. For the past 2
years in my "spare time" I have been the Scoutmaster for Troop 656 in
Hawley, Minnesota. I just finished my ticket (I used to a Bobwhite...) and
will be recieving my beads next Thursday evening at our Dist. Roundtable. I
am in the middle of teaching Scoutmastership Fundamentals, 3rd session this
weekend and am excited about that. We have a small troop of about 17 to 18
boys, kind of young oldest boys are about 13. A great bunch of kids, and
the adventures are exciting. I've learned a lot from them and I hope they
have learned some things as well. I have written some Scout poetry, and I
have 3 of my 5 boys in Scouting presently, with 2 Scout wanna be's in the
wings. I have a question for the group, Should the Scoutmaster have a board
of review? My opinion is no, its not like its a paid position, it sounds
like they want to get rid of me huh? But no one on the committee can or
will take it over.
