Having been recruited into a troop that was rescued from oblivion by a
woman leader, I offer the following:
Who is the better example: a single mother who manages a household,
holds a full-time job, and volunteers in her spare time (?) to help make
a Scouting program available to her son and other people's sons, or a
married man whose son discovers by accident that his father enjoys
whitewater rafting with his professional buddies but has never taken
his family. I have both in my troop.
