I own six of them. (I know, but it's a long story.) All of them are
Camprests. I own one for mountaineering. .5 inch and full length. One for
mountaineering .75 inch and full length. I own two old Camprests 2 inches
(Nine years old and still perfect) and 2 new Camprests deluxe 2.5 inches.
The new models are lighter and thicker than the old ones. I don't leave
home without one. Night and day difference between foam pads.
My camprests have been down the grand canyon six times with monster sand
problems. I have blown them up at 20,000 feet. They did a lot better than
I did after they were inflated. I have carried them at Philmont and all
over the US. I have used them as spare beds for guests and myself. The
camprests probably cost more, buy I know they have a great replacement
policy.
I have a friend that slept on a camprest 2" for six years. Most stores will
allow you to lay one out, inflate it and try it out. Store them valve open
and flat when not in use. I keep them under my bed with a sleeping bag on
each one. They make it easy to slide in and out and grab the bags.

Hello Everyone:
With Jambo coming up next month and now that I am - uh older, the
thought of sleeping on a foam pad just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I
would like to buy one of the those self-inflating air mattresses that
I've seen advertised in the Campmoor catalog among other places. Does
anyone else here own one? What has been you experience with it as
far as comfort? What thickness would you recommend?
